EPHEA™️ has been revealed for the first time yesterday – March 6, 2022 – at Paris Fashion Week during BALENCIAGA Winter 2022 runway show, where an exclusive floor-length coat realised with EPHEA™️ has been presented.
Engineered to diminish ecological footprint without compromising on quality or technical performance, EPHEA™️ is made from mycelium, the vegetative body of mushrooms. The organic material is then finished with a sustainable treatment, resulting in a viable and high-quality material-alternative for fashion applications.
